QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
Admission of candidates is based on average grades /GPA/ in examinations and credit obtained in the course of attending Bachelor's, Master's (or equivalent) long-cycle programme.
When registering, candidates should provide average grades visible in the diploma supplement or on the certificate confirming the completion of studies.
The grade point average /GPA/ must be documented - if it is not provided in the diploma supplement, Candidate must submit a separate notification with GPA from the University.
Candidates applying for admission to studies may apply to maximum of three major programmes, but they may be admitted only to one major. Candidates are obliged to prioritise major programmes from the most preferred to the least preferred one. Admission to one of the programmes indicates that a candidate is not admitted to others.
NOTE!
Foreign candidates who hold the above mentioned degree from outside of Poland may apply for Master’s programmes at KUE only if their diploma has been legalized and entitles to apply for Master’s programmes in the country of issue.
In order to verify if the above mentioned diploma issued outside of Poland entitles to apply for Master studies in Poland, it’s necessary to send the following documents to the Unit for Teaching Administration (studiainfo@uek.krakow.pl): copy of the diploma and supplelement/transcript of records translated into Polish.
The launching of the programme is conditioned by an appropriate number of candidates. Detailed information about the requirements for individual fields of study, is available at www.uek.krakow.pl in the tab Kandydaci – Rekrutacja.
REGISTRATION ON THE ONLINE CANDIDATE ADMISSION PLATFORM / INTERNETOWA REKRUTACJA KANDYDATÓW
Registration of candidates and payment of the admission fee will take place from 2nd of January to 23rd of February 2025.
APPLICATION FEE
Candidates shall make payment of application fee for the admission procedure. In the academic year 2024/25 the fee is 85 PLN per each chosen major programme. Payment should be made onto individual account number generated in Online Candidate Admissions platform/ IRK, latest on the last day of registration. The account number and the total amount will appear in the ,,Payments'' tab after signing up for the major programme!
As a title of payment, please state your name and surname.

FEES FOR STUDIES IN ENGLISH
Tuition fee for one semester of studies held in English language is 6000 PLN.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS
The admission results will be announced on 26th of February 2025 on the Candidates' accounts in the Online Candidate Admissions platform/IRK.
CONFIRMATION OF UNDERTAKING STUDIES
Foreigners qualified for admission shall submit the following documents: 27 - 28th of February 2025, 3 - 4th of March 2025:
- Photocopy of diploma of completing first cycle studies and photocopy of suplement – originals for view. In case of the lack of diploma - certificate of completing first cycle studies. Within a month, you are obliged to deliver the diploma and supplement to the Office of Second-cycle and Long-cycle Programs. Otherwise you will be removed from the list of students.
- Legalization/apostille and translation to Polish language - photocopies and originals for view.
- Confirmation that the diploma allows to undertake studies in the country of issue.
- Proof of English language proficiency: English certificate (photocopy and original for view).
- Printout of personal questionnaire – from Online Candidate Admissions (the questionnaire is available in the ,,Enrollment application'' - ,,Documents and further steps''. Before printing out the questionnaire, you should enter the appropriate diploma number and the date of issue of document).
- Photocopy of passport – original for view.
- Citizenship statement (form is available for download from University website).
- Visa/residence permit - photocopy and original for view.
- Health insurance - photocopy and original for view
NOTE: Another person/The Representative may submit documents on behalf of the candidate. In such case authorisation is required. Form of power of attorney is posted in the downloads tab. and on Online Candidate Admissions platform (IRK) – Enrollment applications – Documents and further steps.
The Representative is obligated to deliver:
- fulfilled form of power of attorney
- personal ID,
- copy of candidate’s ID/passport,
- all required documents for admission (from Step 2).
